Home Consultation @ your home

We start by setting up an initial consultation in your home.
At the consultation, we go through your home with you and talk about your priority projects, overall needs, and how you like to live in your space. What is working for you and what is not?
We take measurements, notes and pictures where needed.
The consultation usually takes about 45 min -1 hour.
We are happy to review any Pinterest or Houzz boards, or any form of design inspiration to get a sense of what styles you like.
The initial consultation and follow up meeting at our store is a $450 flat fee due at our first meeting in your home (Cash or Check made out to: “Stamm and Black”).

Follow Up @ Home by Stamm + Black

A couple weeks after our home consultation, we schedule a follow up meeting at our store. At this meeting, we will propose ideas for your 1-2 priority spaces (depending on your needs, it could be floor plan layouts / fabric / rug / window / paint colors). We present ideas using fabric and rug samples, floor plans, inspiration photos, and any other images used to illustrated our vision.
You can take all the samples that you like home with you to look at everything in your own lighting and spaces! All the samples are then due back in the store after you’ve had time to see + feel them in your space.
The flat consultation fee includes both the home consultation + the follow up appointment.

Moving Forward

Should you decide to move forward with our design ideas, and have us source all the product, we will then need a $500 retainer, which goes 100% towards your first order.
OR
If you are content having the floor plans and design ideas, and would like to shop it all yourself out in the world, you are welcome to do that! Feel free to tell us if that is what you prefer, and we will arrange to get our fabric and rug samples back. You may keep any floor plans created for you!
OR
If you would like to move forward with our design ideas, and source most of the product through us, we will need a $500 retainer, which goes 100% towards your first order. In this scenario, it is important to communicate if there are certain pieces from the big box stores or online that you would like to incorporate into your home. We understand that you have so many things at your finger tips so if you enjoy the hunt, please let us know so we don’t spend our precious time searching for pieces as well.

We have hundreds of ‘to the trade’ vendors and resources with different styles and price points.
We offer designer pricing to our design clients, not retail pricing.
We have 20+ years of design experience, and a team of 5 designers. Although you will have one designer assigned to you, we all work as a team and love to bounce ideas off of each other!
There are no hourly design fees unless you get into products / services not directly provided by Stamm & Black such as kitchen or bathroom remodeling, or built-ins. If we need to bring in contractors and potentially other specialty designers, we always give you an upfront remodeling proposal to approve.
You are never charged anything without your permission.
We are a fun, creative and professional team of women!
